Annie Diamantidis debuts her namesake collection of luxury handbags. Born in Chicago, her family moved to the island of Chios, Greece, when she was five years old. Her first creative awakening occurred on a trip to the Parthenon at the Acropolis, on a hilltop overlooking the beautiful city of Athens.   Annie was inspired by the rich history of the metropolis-- its architecture and art.  This experience began a journey to self discovery and knowledge, which she later used to incorporate classic and modern ideas into effortless glamour. Grown to love two countries, she now calls Chicago home and still travels to Greece regularly.

The eminence of Greek Goddesses have many significant influences in art history. Annie's mother was a seamstress who taught her to be resourceful. At an early age, she would design and sew eccentric pillows by hand. As a teenager, she would take apart her mother's old mink shawls and make handbags out of them.  Growing up on the island of Chios, she would observe women wearing jewelry only on special occasions.  She never understood why women should not feel glamorous every day.  Consequently, Annie has incorporated genuine 14 karat gold onto each one of her handbags. “When chic and glamour combined with the elegance of 14 Karat gold, this is truly a piece of art that can be passed down through generations,” Annie explains.  All women will discover everyday luxury with Annie Handbags®.
